Passion Twists Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about care, sizing, timing, and maintenance for passion twists.
With proper care, Passion Twists last 6–8 weeks on average. Smaller widths may last longer; maintaining a clean scalp, nightly satin wrap, and avoiding heavy oils prolongs the style. Schedule touch-ups if growth or frizz becomes noticeable to keep the look fresh.
Yes, but take precautions. Wear a secure swim cap or braid cover to limit chlorine and salt exposure, and rinse and condition promptly after swimming. For exercise, tie twists up to prevent sweat build-up and cleanse scalp regularly to avoid irritation and odor.
Installation time varies: small widths take longer, large widths are quicker. Expect 3–6 hours depending on hair length, density, twist width, and desired fullness. We recommend allowing extra time for custom parting and finishing so your stylist can perfect the result.
Gentle care keeps them fresh: sleep on a satin scarf, moisturize scalp with lightweight sprays, avoid heavy creams, and cleanse with diluted shampoo or a co-wash when needed. Dry thoroughly and retwist any loose ends. Regular salon touch-ups help maintain neatness.
When installed and removed correctly, Passion Twists are protective and low-stress. Damage can occur from overly tight installation, excessive weight, or leaving styles too long. Our stylists prioritize gentle tension, proper sectioning, and scheduled take-downs to preserve hair health.
Synthetic extensions cannot be dyed; if you want color, we offer pre-colored textured hair in many shades. For natural hair highlights, color should be applied before installation. Discuss color options during consultation so we can match and advise on maintenance.
