What Instant Locs Are
Instant Locs create a fully formed head of locs in a single session for an immediate start. This service builds a complete, mature-looking loc foundation right away, ideal for clients who don’t want to wait for natural locking. Hair must be at least 3 inches; the service starts at $500 for ~100 locs.
Expect a full session that can take up to 420 MINUTES; time varies with hair density and chosen loc size. Pricing includes about 100 locs; each additional loc is $15. A 50% deposit is required to secure the appointment, and new clients must book a consultation before scheduling. The finished locs provide a ready foundation to grow and thrive.
What To Expect During Service
New clients must book a consultation before their Instant Locs appointment; consultations let us confirm hair length, discuss desired loc size, and outline timing. Appointments are scheduled from our Pico-Robertson shop in Los Angeles with evening and weekend availability to fit commutes along Pico and La Cienega corridors, and near landmarks like the Petersen Automotive Museum.
Please arrive on time; while staff have accommodated late arrivals in the past, late, cancellation, and no‑show fees apply. The stylist team focuses on clean parts and gentle tension for natural-looking locs, as clients note. Bring realistic expectations about density and style — complexity affects total time within the 420 MINUTES appointment.
Aftercare, maintenance, and growth
Instant Locs deliver a stable foundation that’s ready to be maintained and grown; the service does not eliminate ongoing upkeep. Our team provides personalized aftercare guidance during your appointment so you know which styling choices and follow-up services support healthy loc progress. Los Angeles’ dry, year‑round weather can shape styling needs and product choices.
We offer follow-up appointments and retouches as needed; timing depends on individual hair and lifestyle rather than a fixed schedule. Be aware our busiest months are January, May, and September for clients starting a loc journey, so book early if you plan life‑transition timing or seasonal events in Los Angeles’ social and work calendar.
