What a consultation covers
The consultation is a one-on-one planning session where your stylist reviews your goals for length, fullness and the overall look you want. We discuss extension options, how different approaches affect texture and natural appearance, and practical trade-offs so you leave with a clear, personalized plan rather than a rushed decision.
Your stylist listens to your hair history and daily routine, then outlines realistic expectations for creating fuller, longer locs. Because the consultation focuses on planning, it identifies the best direction for later installation and maintenance, and highlights any choices that will affect styling, upkeep, and the final natural look.
How we design your look
Design starts by matching length and density goals to options that work for your existing hair. The stylist compares methods and visual outcomes, weighing how each choice will influence the finished texture and movement of the locs. This step helps prioritize a plan that produces a natural appearance compatible with your hair.
Local climate and lifestyle in Los Angeles—warm, outdoor-friendly weather and a car-centric commute—shape recommended styles and maintenance routines. We consider how often you want to wash, style, and travel between appointments, then select options that fit weekend plans, work commutes near Century City or Pico Boulevard, and your calendar.
Scheduling and practical details
Consultations are available on Tuesdays only and are structured to give you focused time with your stylist without the rush of an installation appointment. We recommend booking in advance, especially during peak months—May, June, November, and December—when consultations increase ahead of travel and holiday plans.
The session results in a written or verbal plan you can use to book the extension service later. Expect a thoughtful, patient conversation—clients value clear explanations and time to ask questions. Appointments fit into Pico-Robertson commutes and nearby shopping, making it convenient to plan before or after visits to local landmarks.
